This renovation project focused on transforming a uniquely shaped bathroom from the early 2000s into a contemporary, functional, and inviting space. A key design constraint was preserving the original treated timber surrounding the window, which held aesthetic value for the client and home. To meet this requirement while modernizing the room, we implemented a thoughtful design which included expanding the shower area for greater comfort, incorporating a recessed niche for convenient storage, and introducing protective glass paneling between the shower and window to ensure its longevity. The result honors the original features while enhancing everyday usability.
