As a trusted architectural design company in Otago, Eco Workshop embraces architecture through liveable design. Our work ranges from new buildings to sensitive interventions with older structures. We believe the quality of our surroundings can uplift our lives. We take a contemporary approach to spatial arrangement, materiality and form of our buildings. Eco Workshop has Professional membership of ADNZ: Architectural Designers New Zealand as well as Licensed Building Practitioners - Design 2. Our renowned Dunedin-based architectural design studio welcomes clients from across Otago and throughout the South Island.

Sarah Teasdale

Sarah became a valued member of Eco Workshop in 2018. Specializing in New Builds and Renovations, Sarah is dedicated to turning her clients' visions into reality. She collaborates closely with clients from the initial concept through to completion, ensuring their ideas and needs are understood and fully realized. Sarah also works alongside builders throughout the construction phase, offering expert guidance and solutions to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. Her hands-on approach and proactive communication help to navigate challenges and keep timelines on track. With a background in Project Management and accreditation as a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP Design 2), Sarah combines technical knowledge with practical experience. Her comprehensive understanding of the building process and attention to detail ensures every project is delivered to the highest standard, resulting in homes that are both beautifully designed and expertly built.

Sarah Copeland (SJ)

Sarah is an ADNZ professional and a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP Design 2) with a passion for creating accurate, compliant, and visually compelling designs. Known for her meticulous attention to technical detailing, Sarah ensures every element of her projects is carefully planned and flawlessly executed. With extensive experience in advanced design software and tools, she develops precise plans, layouts, and 3D visualizations that bring concepts to life with clarity and accuracy. Her background in construction provides her with a deep understanding of building materials, installation processes, and project scope development, allowing her to navigate the practical aspects of each building with confidence. Sarah’s approach is both technical and creative, ensuring that every design is not only structurally sound but also innovative and visually striking. Her collaborative style fosters strong relationships with clients and builders, ensuring smooth project progression from concept to completion

Bevan Wood

Bevan has over 20 years’ experience as an architectural designer and technician and is interested in sustainable materials and design. Bevan's passions are the revitalization of old dwellings, healthy homes and the benefits of medium density and walkable cities. He has a wide range of experience including new builds, renovations and commercial alterations. His ability to listen to the needs of clients and incorporate these into his designs is a particular strength and he has carried out numerous successful projects with overwhelmingly positive feedback. His experience has helped to develop a strong relationship with the consultants that are also critical to the success of any project. Another strength is his ability to integrate a building into the site with sensitivity and brings a strong awareness and consideration into any project he is involved in.

Connor Teasdale

Connor became part of the Eco Workshop team in 2023 through his high school program, quickly proving his passion and dedication to design. His enthusiasm and commitment saw him join the team permanently in 2024 as a Junior Technician. Working alongside senior staff, Connor is involved in creating detailed plans, attending site visits, and engaging in client meetings and product presentations. His hands-on approach and eagerness to learn allow him to continually grow his skills and knowledge. Connor is passionate about helping bring clients' visions to life, contributing fresh ideas and supporting the team to ensure every project is thoughtfully designed and expertly executed.

Edie O'Neill

Edie joined Eco Workshop in 2024, bringing with her a strong background in Arts and Communication Design. She has a unique ability to transform clients’ ideas into photorealistic visual representations, helping them to clearly envision their future homes. Now working as an Interior Designer, Edie combines her technical visualisation skills with her design sensibility to craft cohesive, functional, and stylish interiors. She works closely with the design team to develop detailed and lifelike visuals, ensuring clients feel confident and excited about their projects. Her role is essential in bridging the gap between concept and reality, helping clients make informed and inspired decisions about their designs. Edie has completed her Certificate in Interior Décor, further strengthening her expertise in interior design principles, materials, and finishes. Edie’s creative flair, technical precision, and eye for detail make her an invaluable part of the Eco Workshop team.
