A finished internal reconfiguration and facelift for a 1970’s Mãori Hill home. Space for the baby grand piano, a spacious ensuite, external access from the master bedroom, a spacious light-filled kitchen with scullery, along with polished Rimu floors and more natural light was the brief. This alternation maximized the use of the existing home by reconfiguring the layout to give the best outcome for the occupants. We faced the challenge of providing natural light into the narrow hallways and this was overcome with the use of borrowed light and glass cavity sliders. The property not only provides the owners with all of their goals but exceeds the expectations of sun and light, with every room now basking in all day sun.
